For Mother's Day, I uncorked this delicious Prosecco sparkling wine from Italy that is widely available at the LCBO and currently on promotion - offering 30 bonus Aeroplan points.

This extra dry spumante is crafted with 100% Glera that was grown on Morainic soils 400 metres above the level. The medium intensity nose offers pleasing aromas of white floral and lemon citrus which are echoed on the off-dry palate and joined by grapefruit and orange citrus flavours. It has fresh acidity and crisp mousse that livens the flavourful palate. Some leesy mineral notes arrive on the back palate and linger through to the finish, with very good length. Recommended buy.
